A word about the label first, because it matters. What we publish are specification reviews: compiled manufacturer data, checked against a published set of criteria, ranked by arithmetic. They are not hands-on reviews, because we have not handled these watches and we will not pretend otherwise.
That is a narrower claim than most sites make and a more checkable one. Every specification we cite links to the manufacturer document it came from. Every score is computed by the same formula, published in full on the methodology page, so you can re-run it and get our answer — or change a weight and get your own.

Yes, and we say so on every page. What we publish is compiled and cited manufacturer specification data ranked by a published formula. It is a narrower claim than a hands-on review and it is one you can verify.
Because we could not read and cite their specifications from a manufacturer document. Casio, for example, does not serve its US product pages to us, so we publish no Casio specification table rather than reproducing figures we have not verified.
You can check it, which is better. The formula, the weights and the source of every input are published. If you disagree with how much a warranty is worth relative to a crystal, you can see exactly what changing that would do.
