1.2mm is the thickness that clears the case back of almost any watch, including divers with tight spring-bar gaps. Barton laser-cuts the nylon so it cannot fray and joins the two pieces by ultrasonic welding rather than stitching, which removes the seam that usually fails first.
Two lengths — about 10 inches for 5 to 7.5 inch wrists, about 11 inches for 6 to 8.5 inch wrists — in 18, 20, 22 and 24mm. Publishing wrist ranges rather than one universal length is the difference between a strap that ends neatly and one with a flapping tail.
1.2mm is the thickness that matters. Thicker straps will not pass under the case back of a watch with tight spring-bar clearance, and this one publishes the figure alongside two actual lengths rather than selling one strap and calling it universal.
